About KIPP

The KIPP Foundation recruits and prepares outstanding educators to open and run high performing public schools. The KIPP Foundation staff also provides ongoing support and training to school leaders and educators at existing KIPP Schools. Learn more about the History of KIPP Foundations.

Based on the Five Pillars, KIPP (Knowledge is Power Program) Schools are public upper elementary and middle schools where historically underserved students develop the knowledge, skills, and character needed to succeed in top quality high schools, colleges, and the competitive world beyond. By outperforming not only neighborhood schools, but also most of the elite schools in their respective cities, the existing KIPP schools have proven that KIPP's educational vision can be implemented with tremendous success.

Given the successful schools that KIPP leaders have been able to establish in communities throughout the country, we are confident that KIPP Aspire Academy will bring the same level of achievement and results to San Antonio, while serving as a model of educational excellence.
