About

KIPP Aspire Academy is a free, public school (grades 5th - 8th) located at 735 Fredericksburg Rd, three blocks east of I-10 (See MAP, MS Word).  The school began with 90 5th grade students in 2003 and has expanded one grade level each year. There is no test for admission and no tuition.

Aspire Academy provides a safe, family environment where every teacher, student, and parent is dedicated to help each student succeed. We all commit together to think, work, and behave in the best way we know how and do whatever it takes for all students to learn.

Our Schedule
Students are in school longer hours during the week, two Saturdays a month, and three weeks during the summer. The curriculum is rigorous and includes at least 1 hour of homework every day. All students participate in field lessons and have the opportunity to earn an end-of-year, week-long trip out of state.

Our Staff
Teachers are exceptional, innovative, rigorous, and effective educators, committed to every student learning and making no excuses about a student's educational history or demographic background. Every teacher has a cell phone and is available for help with homework in the evenings.

What is KIPP?
The Knowledge Is Power Program (KIPP), is a successful, proven middle school model committed to helping educationally underserved 5th through 8th graders to get on the path to college. There are already more than 40 KIPP schools throughout the country that are repeatedly demonstrating above average test scores and an exemplary record of success.
